Question To Pr Professionals About Pr Websites

I recently visited a lot of PR companies' websites, doing some research that wasn't related to their user experience and noticed an interesting thing - most PR companies have horrible website design/UX though some of these companies are really big. I am really curious why is it.

    What would be the ROI for these companies to update their website?

    Ok, let me rephrase. Do PR companies ever get new clients from organic search, or solely from the word of mouth, because majority of the websites I've seen look not functional?

    I would think someone who wanted a decent website would know enough to stay away from PR firms. And there is nothing in particular about PR firms that would make them smarter than other companies.
