Hi marketing profs, im currently working on an activation plan for a milk brand. the client wants a strictly open market sales activation. i came up with a display and win engagement for the traders but i need more ideas. please note that this is for an african market. cheers!

    What do you mean by "a strictly open market sales activation?" What is the goal? What does success look like?

    Hello mgoodman. I mean that activation the client wants is only targeted at trade in the open market. The goal is to make sales (top priority) , incentivize, and merchandise trade outlets to increase brand visibility

    I don't have first-hand experience with the African market, but most distributors and retailers respond to product moving off their shelves and consumers asking for the products -- perhaps even willing to pay a premium for them. If you want their support, a pull campaign -- one that makes the sale to the end-user -- may be your best bet to delight your trade accounts.
