That's a super suggestion and one that a recipient can give to their child, too. Other inexpensive ideas might revolve around items that invoke safety, security and comfort (all relative to good investing). Consider logoed stress relievers, hand sanitizers, key lanyards, or even edible messages (wrapped cookies, mints, candies, etc) or even a whistle key ring.

A notebook with the name of your banking firm I think would be a great idea. Here are other suggestions:

You would probably spend $1 per trinket anyway.

I like the ideas above (especially the $1) and would also add luggage tags as a possibility since you could tie it in with most people wanting to be able to travel in their retirement (plus you could have an enter to win a trip/plane ticket promotion). The other thing I would add as a trade show tip is to put a vase of fresh, colorful flowers on your table. You won't believe how many people will be attracted to your table by the flowers and a bowl of individually wrapped candy.

Bekogear.com offers nose covers with company logos...that are more useful than a pen when outside fishing, hiking, biking, water skiing...or watching a stadium event like a baseball or football game because they promote your company to the world while they also protect people from skin cancer and/or frostbite...
