Postcard Mailing

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
Hi,

We are doing a large mailing of postcards to promote our production company based in Aspen. We produce TV commercials & photo shoots in the state of Colorado. To personalize our postcards we wanted to add a short note on each card. It needs to be very short as we are sending out over 10,000 of them. Ideas that came to mind were things like: Everything is better in Aspen .... or maybe Happy Holidays but honestly both seem a bit random. Any suggestions are warmly welcomed. Thank you! APS

When I think of personalizing, I think of writing something specific to the recipient. Such as by putting the recipient's name on the card (ie. "Dear Joe"). This doesn't sound like what you are thinking of as personalizing. Sounds more like you are trying to add a local touch to it or make it feel less mass produced?

With digital print on demand and mail merge you ought to be able to put a different message—aimed personally at the individual recipient—on each card.

Including something "personal" could be tough unless you know all 10,000 recipients. You can, as Gary suggested, add names with a mail merge, however...there are people that still take notice of these things even though they know they're computerized.

If you're looking for "inviting" words, you might want something fun, such as "We think everything in Colorado is a big production."
