Need Website Name For Independent Realtor In Nyc

Posted by Anonymous on 50 Points
I am creating a website for a realtor in NYC (Manhattan) specializing in residential real estate. I was thinking something like "yourNYCdreamhome.com" but it's taken.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

When it comes to website names, shorter is better. People generally don't like typing in long URLs and the longer it is the more easier it is to make a mistake and wind up where you don't want to be.

Ideally I would recommend using the company name, as that is what we have been conditioned to do. I'm sure the good ones are probably taken by now but you could try NYCRealestate.com or nycrealproperty.com or variations on that theme. What is the company name? It might be better to go with companyname.com.

    I hope this helps,

Thanks, but looking for something more person. This is an independent relator so he represents a company, but is allowed to market his properties externally. So the company name is used and his name will not represent what he does, therefore will not pop up in search engines for people looking for NYC apts.

I recommend doing keyword research and trying to come up with a website name that uses a keyword. :-) Then you really deliver what people are looking for! Say I'm using Google and I search for "NYC apartments for sale" and I see a search result for www.NYCApartmentsForSale.com, I'm going to notice that. Plus you help your SEO. :-) (And I just made up that example! Forgive me if that's someone's real URL!)

MyNYCDreamHome.com and FindANYCDreamHome.com are both available.

Agreed with Jeffswert, and would continue with - the copy on the website is a million times more important than the actual domain.
