Ob Instruments For Customer Behaviour

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
Hi All !!
I am interested in finding consumer attitudes, behaviour and value systems towards a particular product. Can the tools such as personality questionnaires( as used in study of organisational behaviour) be used to derive information on the same. Could you suggest some place where I could find such resources?
Thanx.

    Hi Neurospark,

In my experience, information on general consumer attitudes and VALS (see https://www.sric-bi.com/VALS/presurvey.shtml) are NOT very helpful in finding out conuser attitudes and behaviour towards a particular product. Instead, I would spend the time to develop a product/industry-specific system. The reason is that the same consumer often falls into different categories or segments depending on the product.

Agreed. Do you need help to develop a tool for your specific industry, product or service?

The industry, product, country, and target market are critical to the decision of how to proceed. For example, if you're selling a consumer product, you would likely use different techniques than if it's a B2B product; and products often require different approaches than services. There are even a few differences by country, but those are probably less important than industry/market differences.

Your best bet is to give us the specifics of your situation so we can give you more specific guidance on the path forward. If confidentiality is essential, feel free to use private email.
