What were some of your favorite countries to visit, and what were some of your least favorite countries to visit? Any you recommend for an idea to visit places?

    Top 10 places I particularly enjoyed for pleasure (with spouse/family): London, Paris, Madrid, Jerusalem, San Francisco, Vancouver, Montreal, New York, Boston, Washington DC. (There are others, but these are the 10 that come to mind first.)

    What we do/did there: Museums, theater, just walking the streets, hanging out at university bookstores and coffee shops.

    In another vein (beach, sailing): Sailing in the Caribbean (especially U.S. and British Virgins), Phuket, Maui
