Start Up Non Profit Charity To Help Homeless

I want to start a nonprofitry to help with housing for the homeless and also to help them with their everyday needs, as well as make the streets a better place for our future leaders and businesses, how could i receive funding and how do I get the word out there to get all the help needed thanks
ALSO I have never started a charity before so would like to know all the legal aspects of it

    Before you go to the trouble and expense of starting a new non profit, have you researched existing non profits in your region that serve this need? If there are some, then consider sharing your expertise with them to help them improve their mission.

    I have looked into other non-profits but you see the thing is I am not going to be able to make the change that I want to make because I will be bound by the limits of that organization. I don't mind going to all the trouble and even if I have to work harder it would definitely be worth it because I know at the end of the day America would be a greater place for every level of society
