Using Wordpress For A Company Blog

I'm considering switching from blogger to Wordpress for our company blog. It has to be integrated into our company website. I wanted to use the Free wordpress account, but then I noticed the free version includes ads and wordpress branding? Does anyone have experience using free Wp for their company, or is the best option to pay? We definitely do not want ads or WP branding on our blog. Thanks.

    I use WordPress for client's company web sites - the entire site (bot just blog). We don't use free version, as the ads would make it look unprofessional.
