Ymb Minimart/school And Office Supplies

Hi, I'm planning to open a store along the highway, fronting the loading and unloading area for PUB's, it's about 50 to 75 meters away from the Jollibee store, and a supermarket on the left side. Likewise, a public market across on it about 100 meters away. The area is generally surrounded by residential houses.

There's a commercial space for rent whose area is about 20 meters (wide/frontage) by 5 meters (length), for 20k/ month. Do you think the 20k/month is worth for the said comm'l space with its location?

Can you give us advice, whether some selected grocery goods and school supplies would be the best items to be sold in my planned store?

Your friendly, expert advice shall be very much appreciated.

Thank you,

Nestor

You may be asking the wrong people. We are marketing professionals. You seem to be looking for someone with knowledge of the local market.

Usually marketers start by interviewing the likely target audience to identify needs, not by taking commercial space and then figuring out what to do with it.

You are thinking about opening up a small store selling groceries and some school supplies while surrounded by a supermarket, another store, and a public market? Usually, when large stores like that move into the area the existing small stores close up.
Like you've been told- Talk to some locals who know the situation.
