Rebranding Help With Massage Business Name

Posted by pasttensebodyspa on 250 Points
Would love some feedback for my business name.
Currently, it's Past Tense Massage

I like my current business name, not sure it speaks to my niche. My niche is women. Working women, working mothers, single and stay at home moms.I help them breathe out the obligations of their daily lives and focus on their own healing through massage therapy.
I believe I've figured out my tagline "Take Care Of You"
Here are a few ideas:

Peace Massage Studio
Sacred Woman Massage Therapy
H.E.R. Therapeutic Massage (Health.Energy.Renewed)

Would love to hear feedback or other options. Thanks!

While "Past Tense" is very clever and almost-on-strategy for your business, I am a little concerned that it doesn't really nail the core benefit/audience because it omits any mention of women or where your target audience lives.

What about "[CityName] Women's Therapeutic Massage," where [CityName] can be a county or a local landmark, nickname, or local hero? This will suggest you are in tune with local norms and cultural nuances, targeting women, etc.

I'd love to have a word that references the core benefit, but "therapeutic massage" is pretty close for your real target audience, and you can hit the benefit harder in the tagline ... once you've let folks know what you do.

"Take Care Of You" is fairly vague and doesn't differentiate you from other masseuses in your region.
To help you better, can you share how your approach is more attractive to your target audience? Why do women keep coming back to you and refer you to their friends?

As for your business name, that will also depend upon the answers to my previous questions.

Thank you. My approach is to treat women like a queen from the moment we engage. I provide a herbal foot wash during consultation, followed by choice of aromatherapy before their treatment....
I've been told by regular clients, I make them feel taken care of, loved. (By several in fact). I hope this helps. Thank you

In that case, why not name your business "A Loving Massage"?

Jay, I don't want to be a killjoy, but the business name 'A Loving Massage' may have some unwarranted connotations in many western countries and Asian countries, where it could be (mis)interpreted to mean massages of a non-therapeutic kind with entirely different benefits for (mainly men) clients. Maybe you should re-think that one (lol).

    Suggestion for tagline:

... Rewind your day; Let your inner Queen be lovingly treated like a Lady should be!

A Loving Massage has to many innuendos. Rewind your Day is very comforting. On the other hand if they are having one of the craziest days ever, most would want the day to be over, maybe not started again Thank you

Point taken. If you just remove the 'rewind' reference, the tag still seems to meet your criteria.

Another approach, "Women's Recharge Station" - which connotes both the goal and your target audience.

I've decided on Dallas Women's Therapeutic Massage.
Brainstorming a tagline based on my niche. Currently working on:
    Take Care Of You.
    Transformation Retreat
Your Path To A Healthier You
    Your Recharge Station

Why not choose a tagline that expresses the experience of your work? For example: "Feel Relaxed & Rejuvenated"

Or Change how you feel. Straight to the point.
