Potential Blog Name For Marketers

Posted by brandingbecca on 50 Points
I'm working on creating a blog for young marketing professionals. The primary audience will be young women. This blog will discuss professionalism, marketing/branding, events, etc. What do you think of when you hear, "Branding Becca"?

Think of a branding iron and a cow named Becca. No thought of it being the name of a blog, and no idea if Becca is a nickname (for Rebecca) or some kind of seaweed. Can't tell if I am in the target audience or not, or whether it's about anything that might be of interest.

You might want to define the objective before you start looking for names.

If you want a cute name, then you'll need to spend time/energy explaining the name to your potential audience. If you pick a name that's descriptive, you'll save that time/energy (but perhaps the name won't be as cute). Do you have a marketing plan for your blog yet? The amount of resources you've put into your own marketing will likely clue you in which direction you want to take in your naming.

There are literally thousands of blogs and websites directed at marketing in one form or another. You will have to show some very unusual or unique points of difference to the multitude to make any traction into a market. Have you identified a particular niche or industry sector that you would like to work in? if so, have you done any work to identify the size of a potential client base?

There are many people on this site happy to give you help and advice. But you have to give us some information to work with. It is difficult to give advice generically, because that will most probably not help you.
