Event Name For Non-profit Fundraiser

We are looking for a name for our annual fundraising event. In the past it's been called a gala, but it is anything but. It is a casual event (last year in a barn, this year under a tent) featuring food and beverages from a variety of local establishments, a silent and live auction and live entertainment. Our organization is called Angels of Light and we provide holiday giving for children and families with life threatening illnesses. The event takes place in September. Thank you!

    Live auction and music does make it sound like a gala to me, so I wouldn't be concerned about using that term in the name. if the prior year went over well, nothing wrong with using the same name. This actually could add in some name recognition, helping with the promotion. "5th Annual Angels of Light Gala" or whatever.

    I should have mentioned that it is a casual event, so the word "gala" doesn't really work.

    And I'm with you... the word gala fills my head with images of expensive parties. It also doesn't necessarily imply a charity event. My word of choice would be 'Benefit' - a public event to raise money for a charitable organization or cause.
