Referral Denials Responses

Insurance restrictions on the facility has caused us to halt acceptance of certain insurances. Please give some strategies I can use to inform discharge planners without interrupting future referrals.

    Who are the "discharge planners?" Shouldn't they know about insurance acceptance before the covered individual is accepted? What industry/sector? What state/province and country?

    I don't think I understand the issue (or the terminology). Can you explain the relationships?
