Event Name

Our organization is called Life Enriching Communities Foundation and is having its 1st annual benefit dinner. There will live classical musicians (cellist, piano, opera, etc.). Life Enriching Communities (LEC) is an integrated family of lifestyle communities and senior living services. We have made aging well a top priority for nearly 120 years. Affiliated with the West Ohio Conference of the United Methodist Church, LEC is a private, not-for-profit corporation. Ideas on names would be greatly appreciated!

    Since you've been established for 120 years, your name is likely well known in the community. So why not simply call it "(Annual) Life Enriching Communities Benefit (Dinner)"? Or, are you looking for a theme name ("Fulfillment Dinner" or "Benefiting Seniors")?

    Yeah, we are looking for a theme name. We have a similar event at another location in the fall called "A Musical Feast". With this event being at another location during the spring we wanted to keep the branding and mission the same but with a different name/character...

    If someone were to attend both the new and existing events, how would they distinguish between them? Is there any desire to link the two annual events ("Fall Musical Feast" vs. "Spring Musical Soiree")?

    They are hosted at two different senior living facilities. That is an interesting point. Thank you, Jay!

    If there are two functions at different locations, can we assume (always a dangerous move in marketing!) that the attendees will be a different group of people entirely. If that is the case, what is your rationale for separately identifying what is effectively the same function in format, content & theme. The fact that there is a long break between the two functions is also a factor that seems to lower the necessity to devise a new name.

    This all gets back to basics. What is the actual benefit you expect to receive from putting a different context name on this dinner, given that you have an enviable reputation through community name recognition?

    Hello, we are looking to give the event a different name as the events are all under the same Foundation. While it will in essence be the same event, the locations have different personalities and we want to separate the events. We will most likely have a lot of the same sponsors and potentially bring attendees to both events.

    Maybe think along the lines of spring and fall crop cycles...tilling, planting, harvesting, feasting.
    A Musical Planting --> A Musical Feast
    Something following that sense.
