Fun & Cool Names

Posted by sassygrl35jm on 250 Points
I would like to create a Kids Cooking Club business whereby kids between
7-14 yrs can get together to create fun and creative dishes and learn other skills during the process.

The problem is I cannot come up with a suitable name that isn’t already be taken. I am really struggling at the moment.

What do you think or could you suggest some more suitable and ‘brand-able?

Who specifically are you targeting (what region, parents and/or children and/or teachers, etc.)? Where are these people located?

Given that many names are taken, that would indicate that there's a lot of competition for you. How will what you offer be better/different from others in ways that your target audience will care about? What special knowledge/skills do you have that the competition likely doesn't?

Is the primary goal for kids to learn to cook? What "other skills" will be taught? Based on your research, are you finding that 1) kids really love to learn to cook or 2) parents are looking for an after-school program to entertain or 3) parents are looking for something different for a birthday party theme?

Jay has asked some important questions. Your answers to them will let us deliver a great name for you.

The problem right now is that you are starting by looking for a name when you should begin with a business/marketing plan. Jay's questions are at the foundation of your marketing plan.

Once we have the core elements of your marketing plan we'll be in a position to deal with the name.

I have an additional question to those asked above by my colleagues. Will these Kids Cooking Club activities be provided by you free of charge, or will parents have to pay for their children's participation? Your response may lead to more questions relating to your competition.
