Suggest A Good Name For My Venture

Posted by trtlegear on 250 Points
I am looking out for names for my mobile & computer accessories business.
Basically, it would deal in tech-related products but I also at a later stage when I intent to launch non-tech related products it should also go with them.
Two names that came to my mind are "Cobasics & Trtle Gear".
Need your inputs for some business name also please let me know your opinion about "Cobasics & Trtle Gear" please.

Other Details.
1)I would be using it on marketplaces.
2)It should be short
3)Easy to connect, market & remember.

I'd estimate the number of people in your stated target audience at about 350,000,000. That's a big audience (and India is a big country). You will need a large marketing budget. (Is there a way to test among a smaller audience?)

Maybe the place to start is with a very rough business and marketing plan. How are these millions of people going to learn about your business? Where in India do most of these folks live?

As for "Cobasics" and "Trtle Gear" as names, I'm not sure I understand them ... but then I'm not your target audience. If these names mean something to your target audience they could be OK. If not, then you might want to keep developing alternative names -- preferably names that connote the benefit you want to communicate to the audience. (That's the objective of the name, right?)

"Quality product" is not something that is unique, and it's not clear how your target audience would judge "quality." And "fair pricing" is similarly vague. "30-day return guarantee" is perhaps something you would want to claim, though it does plant the idea that someone might want to return the product. (Better to position it as "an unconditional satisfaction guarantee."
