    It depends on how it was collected.
    What information are you trying to obtain?

    Data should lead to insight. About your customers and about their relation to your product. Any grouping that allows you to reach similar conclusions from a higher level of abstraction is going in the correct direction.

    Start by defining the objective and articulating the expected use of results.
