New Tagline For Public Golf Course & Restaurant

Posted by info_olympic on 250 Points
We are a public golf course with a full-service restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Our large, main street sign currently displays "Public Welcome" (generic golf course lingo), over top our course name, but we are wanting to update it to a new tagline that promotes our facility as being 'fun for all (ages)'. Possible verbage to highlight our restaurant could be a bonus.

Something eye-catching so when cars are zooming by, they can quickly read the tagline and know they are welcome to drive up and visit us (golf, restaurants, practice facility).

Depending on the tagline, it could potentially be used for marketing (radio, print) purposes.

Where? What is the name of the golf course/restaurant? Ambience? Menu? Motif? Who might be most attracted to the restaurant? Who is the PRIMARY target audience? (The hardest audience to reach in a meaningful way is "everybody.")

The Golf Course is located on Vancouver Island (British Columbia). The menu consists of clubhouse favorites (fish & chips, burgers, sandwiches, salads, appys etc) with a west-coast flare, something for everyone, as well as a kids menu. We have a more laid-back lounge, with a bar and tv's playing sports, as well as the quieter seating options on the restaurant side, which is overlooking a water fountain. The ambiance is laid back and 'natural' (nature), with a wrap-around patio overlooking the 1st, 10th and 18th hole. It's very quiet and tranquil and truly a hidden gem for the area.

Once turning into the main entrance, you drive 1/2 a mile to the clubhouse, so drive-by traffic doesn't see what we're about until they actually make the turn. The problem with that is that people drive by, see 'golf course & restaurant" and think they're not welcome, or its a stuffy 'country club' (far from it!)

Ideally, we want everyone from young families to couples on a date night to be attracted to the restaurant. We have a lot of young families/young couples moving into the area, so I would say they are our primary target audience.

Sorry for the lack of info on the original post and thanks for looking for more clarification.

I'm presuming the size of the sign is optional, so you can make the sign fit the words. Within that context, here's a thought provoker:

    The 'Golf Course' Restaurant:
    Open all Hours.
We Welcome Young Folk & Older Folk
    & We Especially Welcome
    NON-GOLFING Folk!
