Punch Line For A Real Estate Business

Posted by mark.casiano on 250 Points
I just started my entrepreneural life doing creative deals in real estate. The leg work starts from searching below market value properties through cold calling, handing out flyers, bandit signs, and other ads. Numbers are crunched and if they work, buy it with investors or new homeowners through a rent to own program.

I'm in the process of creating posters and stand banners to show my logo, contact signs and the benefits of doing business with me.

What's the name of your business?
Where are you targeting your prospects?
How are you better/different from your competitors?

Who is your primary target audience? Where? What do you want the punch line to communicate? What is the name of the business? Why do you want a punch line?

You might be better off building trust with the target audience rather than trying to explain what you do and how the target audience will benefit.

    Thank you for the responses.

    I have a website localhomebuyers.ca
The target audience is sellers in a difficult situation looking for an alternative solution than selling through real estate agents.

But there are other two audiences I want to serve through local home buyers. I want to help buyers who cannot get a traditional financing and the other investors who don't have time and know-how in real estate investing but still want to expand their portfolio in real estate investing.

Should I separate them in different websites?

While there is a certain commonality in your various target audiences, each website would be much more efficient if it focuses on a single segment of the market. By separating the segments from each other you can deliver a highly-targeted message to each one.

As a general rule, whenever your target audiences are seeking different benefits it makes good sense to focus your website copy (including images) on just the benefit with the greatest appeal to that audience. Start by crafting a Positioning Statement for each of your segments. See how similar or different they are from each other.

Everything you did so far is average. You are not giving anybody a reason to prefer you over zillion other real estate brokers. Do you want to be average? Really?

When I first posted the question, I have an average thinking. But I don't want to be average.

Thank you for all your questions. Time to revise what I get to offer.
