What Is A Substantial Name For A Charity Event ?

We have a week long fundraising event in December : Festival of Trees and Lights. Each day we have a different event. Our high end donors have been attending “ VIP and Silent Auction “ night.
Other events include “joy to the Girls’ , which is our biggest attendance and a breakfast with Santa which is also well attended.
We would like to change the name of our VIP to reflect more of a party. And silent auction. We do not do dinner or dancing. It is heavy appitizers and open bar , the focus is on the silent auction.
We need a new name for the event. We are a mental health organization for Tykes and Teens,
We need to get ithe name right to increase the number of participating donors

    What's not working with your current name? Your current name is very clear. Is the issue that people aren't attracted to the event itself or somehow misled/confused by the existing name? Are you having donor fatigue? A new name may serve to confuse people who have attended the event in the past (and may be looking forward to attending again).

    I suspect this is not the case.

    You increase the number of participants by asking each person on your invite list to pass on an invitation to five of their well-heeled friends. From this you might reasonably expect to attract an extra 20%.

    You invite names and faces in the media and you comp them, once you've got them committed, you then use their presence as an incentive to attract other people.

    The current name of the entire event is working very well: Festival of Trees and Lights” we had our best year ever Our 10 Anniversary. I wanted to creat more excitement on our live Auction night . That night the event is called .....
    “VIP Coctail Party and Live Auction’ it is to the point but I wanted to jazz up the name to create more interest in attending.
    And yes the other part of that is donor fatigue. We also ask to invite others, but maybe we can do that in a different way as you suggested.
