Specializing In Yacht Charters

Posted by carissa on 250 Points
Hello,

I am trying to create a sell sheet and need a tag line. I'm a travel advisor and I specialize in yacht charters. I'm going to be placing these sell sheets at yacht clubs/country clubs to give members an option for something bigger for company team building events, rewarding their best customers and employee's, weddings, milestone celebrations, etc. I want it to really stand out and be catchy, so people take notice.

Any suggestions? I am not creative!

Thank you, much.

(I assume you mean you need a headline for the sell sheet, and not a tagline for your business.)
I'd bet that your competition is also leaving such sheets at these locations. If so, how will your charters be better/different from all the other options these people have? What region do you serve?

Jay, yes, a headline for the sell sheet. Apparently, no one else has their information at these locations. I don't know many travel advisors that specialize in yacht charters, at least not in my area. I don't have the yachts myself. I chose four companies that I trust and provide amazing yacht sailings. I assist with all travel needs, this is just a specialty of mine.

The sailings are mainly in the Caribbean and Europe, but they can be arranged for Alaska and other destinations.

Personally, I have never been a fan of restrictive marketing. I have done some promotion work for a number of small companies, and many of them set up their businesses and got moderated business cards printed and set up websites based on their expectations of how they would make money. In many cases, reality is different.

If it were me, II would try to take a step back to a slightly bigger picture, e.g. unforgettable excursions. You can still say that you specialize in yacht rentals, but you could also promote other sorts of high-end excursions,, even to people who arty have their own yacht.

You're looking to catch the eye of potential customers during a casual glance. You have about half a second. The top line should read "Yacht Charters", in a bold, maybe slightly fancy but easy to read font. Now, anyone who is curious and has even slight interest will read the next couple lines. List a few special occasions, and give a size range of the available yachts. Next, come up with a short benefits paragraph of 3-lines (4, max.). Then your contact info. Useful information holds customers' attention better than creative fluff. Put any required fluff at the bottom, after your contact information. If they have time, they'll read it (but don't force them to).

This all great advice. Thank you, for everyone's responses and this gives me a much better and clearer vision for what I want to write; especially Mike Steffes comment. I appreciate it.
