Questions On How To Launch A New Brand Of Watch

Posted by joeclarkvideo10 on 25 Points
Hello,

I'm a brand new user, and first of all, I apologize in advance if somebody asked those questions already. I searched in the forum but I couldn't find exactly what I'm looking for.

I want to create a new watch brand, that would be a swatch-like , and I don't really know where to start for manufacturing. I tried to contact suppliers on Alibaba, but they are asking for expensive shipping fees for samples (and I want quality).I also want to create a new watch brand launch video for the brand that we are about to launch soon.
Basically, I would like to be in touch with plastic-watch-producers (preferably in Europe) to be able to compare, pick one and understand what I need to provide to start working with it.
I have several questions, not necessarily in the right order, and I would be very grateful if you could help with my project:Do you know any good watch-manufacturer (in Europe or somewhere else) that would be able to produce high-quality plastic watches? I would like to personalize everything for each model (dial, hands, strap...)

Do you know what type of files/info I would need to provide?

Any help will be appreciated.
Thank you.

First, you are going to have to expect to spend money to develop your watch. Paying for shipping of samples (and perhaps even samples) is to be expected. The way you said that the shipping of samples was expensive makes me wonder if you are ready for the manufacturing costs (tools, dies, inventory, etc.) which you will have to pay.

You likely will want to go and meet watch makers in person. I would look for a trade show on watches and go to it and see what contacts you can make. Here are some that may work: https://www.chrono24.com/info/uhrenboersen.htm.

Once you make contact with manufacturers, they will tell you what they require in order to make the watches for you.
