Looking For A Tag Line For An Auction Company

Posted by jjmd041075 on 250 Points
My name of my company is H & M auctions after my 2 sons Harrison and Maverick. We will be selling vintage and antique collectables and wares. I'm looking for a tagline. I saw somewhere buying and selling with honesty and class. I like it but was thinking I could use honesty and H for Harrison if I could come up with something that worked for the letter M. But that was just one path. A tagline for just the auction itself is o.k. without a play on the name.

Who is your primary target audience? Where? What do you want the tagline to communicate?

It's not required that every business have a tagline. While "H & M" doesn't mean anything to your target audience, "auctions" certainly tells folks what you do. What else do you want to accomplish in the name/tagline?

How will you evaluate our suggestions for a tagline? What are the criteria for judging whether a tagline is good or bad? If we know that in advance there is a much better chance we can come up with a winner for you.

Our primary audience is pretty large. It can be any buyer or seller of any antique or collectable. They can be very new to buying at an auction or they can be an experienced reseller of buying and selling antiques as their business. We want to convey that we are a honest family run business that cares about the local people and want to be there for their go to if they have something to sell or need to buy something unique. I feel that all taglines would be good because it's a matter of interpretation. I was looking for something catchy/unique but to the point.

Wouldn't other auction companies in your region say similar things ("we are a honest family run business that cares about the local people and want to be there for their go to if they have something to sell or need to buy something unique")? Why should someone choose to work with you instead of your competition?
