Creative/catchy Names For Mother-teen Workshops

Posted by aprilnbrown1 on 125 Points
Need assistance with catchy/creative names for 4 workshop titles: conflict management, setting boundaries, communication & team building. Names are to catch the attention and provide modern relatedness to mothers and their teen daughters ages 12-17 across all racial, socio-economic demographics.. Objective of business is to transform contentious, dysfunctional mother-daughter relationships.

Where are these workshops going to occur? When?
Is there already a demand for them in your area or are you going to have to educate moms about the need?
Who specifically is likely to benefit? Why would your workshops help?
Are these workshops linked (as in a series, for example) - so the names need to build on each other or somehow be similar?

Workshops will occur on a bi-monthly basis (Saturday) at a local non-profit center. A needs assessment has not been completed. Growing2gether will provide the workshops to the mothers and their teen daughters for educational purposes. There is a grave need, especially, during the adolescence years(12-17) whereby a child is likely to go through depression, suicidal thoughts & attempts, eating disorders, etc. when the mother-daughter relationship is broken.

I would love to have the workshops to build upon themselves; however, as a mother to a 17 year old, I understand the need for the following workshops initially mentioned. I personally feel its a universal truth most moms encounter.

    Hope I answered your questions.

    Thanks for responding!

Will all four workshops be offered each time, or will it take 6+ months to cover all the topics? Will moms/teens need to commit to the series, or can they pick just the workshops they want? You might just need a single name for the series and not four separate names.

It's also not clear (to me) that you need "creative, catchy" names. The benefit you promise should be compelling enough to your target audience that you don't need to tease them into participation.

Finally, where does your primary target audience live? What city/state? It could make sense to incorporate some kind of local reference to assure your audience that you are "one of them" and understand the local culture. (Perhaps do that with a single tagline for the series?)

    Hello!

Workshops will run on a 5 month semester basis; both Fall and Spring. Upon registration, mom and teen are committing themselves to the entire 5 months. The thought of having an "a la carte" approach was my first instinct, but was told I should offer it as a package. Would love to hear your thoughts on this.

Love the idea of a single name for the series.

I reside in Dallas, TX and so does my targeted audience. My current tag line is "Building Mother-Daughter Duos beyond Friendship" This comes from a place of building a legacy of healthy-functional mother-daughter relationships that will last generations. Would love to hear your thoughts here as well.

    Thanks for your response!

    Moms & Teen Daughters: Conflicts
    Moms & Teen Daughters: Boundaries
    Moms & Teen Daughters: Communication
Moms & Teen Daughters: Team Building

If these workshops build on each other, then you might consider numbering them (Moms & Teen Daughters 101, 102, etc. -or- Moms & Teen Daughters: Conflicts (Step 1), etc.).
