Company Name For Image Consulting Business

Posted by jjjbaweja on 250 Points
I am looking for an interesting whacky name for my company. The name should not be more than 2 words. It should be only related to image, it is an overall makeover, inside out. It includes body language, time / stress management and a positive outlook to live. It makes you believe in yourself, it not only helps you in looking better but adds confidence to your personality.

How about ConfidentOutlook.com or ConfidentMakeover.com (domains both available)?

Too many alphabets and don't want to use the word makeover. People generally tend to associate fashion and makeup with makeover. It's not only appearance management but grooming, etiquette, body language etc.

I'm thrown a bit by your desire for a "whacky" name. Is "whacky" the goal because you don't believe the real benefit is important?

The most effective names are generally those that express a clear and important BENEFIT for the target audience. Who exactly is your target audience, and how will their lives be better after you work your magic? Why might someone be better off with a "positive outlook to live?" What is the ultimate payoff? (Or is your service just for people with low self-esteem?)

    Michael,

What's the problem with the word "Whacky"??? Everybody has a right to use a word they like!

Over here you are digressing from the topic.

I can give you a long explanation on everything you mentioned. But don't think others would be interested in it.

    Awemakers as a new alternative

Of course everybody has a right to use words they like. That wasn't my point. Rather I was suggesting that words that are relevant and meaningful generally outperform words that are simply for fun, frivolous, or only tangentially relevant. If you are performing a service that you expect people will find valuable, wouldn't you want to communicate the benefit in your business name?

Think about how you will evaluate our suggestions. What criteria will you use? How will you know when the right name shows up? If we know these things in advance, there's a much better chance we'll succeed. If it's simply searching for something you will "like," it's unlikely we can deliver. We don't know what words you like (other than "whacky").

Why does the name have to be "whacky"?

    Michael,

Image Management is usually associated with appearance management. It is much more than that it is your image inside out, it includes body language, grooming etiquette etc. It is an art of science, we do mathematical calculations to suggest simple things. It is a very personalised service as every human being is different from the other. Our customers range from school going children to CEO of a company. We also work with NGO's as well as housewives.

My suggestion would be to narrow your target audience focus initially, so your positioning can be specific to the highest-priority segment. What you would say to a school-going child is different from what you would say to a CEO. The benefits are probably different as well. When you try to serve a broad range of clients, your message becomes unfocused and sub-optimal for all of them.
