Wow Factor Needed

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
Hello,

I'm a Youth Director at my local church and we are having a Spring Revival at the end of this month. I am looking for a catchy wow factor to include with our flyer on social network. Our theme is CRAVE. The poing of the theme is young people who are craving all that God has for them.

Thank you in advance for any and all suggestions.

I'm not so sure we are good at "catchy wow factors." That's because "catchy wow" usually means you don't have a strong positioning statement -- benefit and reason-why -- so you want to amuse or entertain instead.

Let's understand exactly who your target audience is and why they might benefit from the Spring Revival. Can you tell us those things?

Our goal is to attract youth/young adults to our service. This is a religious church service. I suppose I should have asked for a tagline line that will help grab their attention to the flyer.

    Hope that clarifies :)

I might not have been clear enough. What we need is a BENEFIT for your target audience. How will their lives be better if/when they do what you want them to do?

Will they feel uplifted/positive about life? Will they be saved? Will they be viewed differently by friends/family? Will they feel more at peace? In short, why might they want to participate in the religious service rather than hang out with friends at a local community center, watch TV, play with younger siblings, do homework, work extra hours, etc.?

It might also help if we understood better exactly who your target audience is. Where? Age range? Still in school? High school? College? Regular church-goers? Upscale? Working class? Unemployed? Addicted? Religious affiliation? Hobbies/interests? Gender/co-ed?

Are the youth already seeking what you're offering (and are trying to have them select your service instead of another's) or are you trying to convince them that your service might somehow appeal to them (they may not be interested in religion, for example)?

    Hi Everyone,

I am closing this question since there hasn't been much recent activity.
