Alternative Tagline To "when No One Cares - Ukares"

Posted by fjhharden on 250 Points
This tagline seems to 'diss' everyone else so it has a negative feeling.
UKares is a non profit which aids and assists Brits and Commonwealth people who find themselves in times of hardship, emergency or distress living or transient in the Greater LA area and who can't get any assistance from the Embassies (their hands are tied with any financial contribution). We also provide volunteers to visit patients in hospitals that might have been involved in an accident or help to pay a hospital bill. We are new and are building our infrastructure but are already 'out there' in the local community. We've been thinking about "Caring for our Community', 'Always Caring, Always Here', but there must be something better out there????

The tagline should probably say or indicate that the organization serves Brits, in case the name is too oblique for the target audience to understand. ("Cute" names generally have that problem.)

Is the target audience mostly the folks who need assistance, or is it donors who might want to support the mission? If the latter, who and where are these folks? Do you have hopes of someday going broader than just SoCal?

These are great ideas, thank you DougM and J Hamilton-Roth

Mgoodman - to answer your question, I guess it would be better for the name to resonate primarily with donors/sponsors as, without them, it would be hard to function. We're looking at targeting British or Commonwealth-linked companies in Los Angeles and organising events to which they would like their name associated, and UKares would benefit from the ticket sales. It's hard to ask someone to donate money just to sit in a bank account IN CASE somebody gets sick, passes away or is on the brink of losing their home.
