Name For Dog Daycare/resort In A Resort Town

Posted by marionamillion on 250 Points
I am planning to open a dog daycare/resort in my small resort town of Port Aransas, Tx. There are not any other dog daycares here. I am trying to come up with the perfect name and could use some help. So far, I have thought of Wags of Honor, Bones n' Love, Top Dogs, Paws in Wonderland, Dancin' Paws, Pooch's Paradise Bed & Biscuit, Puppy Dog Tails, Island Dawg House, and Pups n' Pals. I'd like to know what you think about these names, as well as suggesting any others. Thank you kindly for your time. Any other suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks again!

It all depends on who your primary target audience is, how they will find you, and how they will make a decision. What are you trying to communicate with the name? Do you need/want a tagline? Do you expect your customers will be mostly tourists, or townies, or part-time residents? What important benefit are they seeking? What assurances do they need?

Have you interviewed a sampling of your target audience? What did they say? (If not, that's where I would start.)

Quick reaction to the names you've listed: They are mostly too cute. The one that would probably work best is "Island Dawg House" because it begins to communicate what you do/offer. What's missing is the idea of "Day Care" (as opposed to longer-term boarding).

    How about "Island Dawg Daycare?"
