Ed Consultant Seeking A Name And Tagline

Posted by ginny.oconnell on 250 Points
I am retiring after 30 years in education in k-12 and at state level. My area of expertise is school climate, discipline, disproportionality, and behavior. My skills are in strategic planning, program development and implementation. I hope to get consulting work in these areas. I would appreciate any suggestions for a name and tagline.

Who's likely to hire your services? Where would you perform them? What distinguishes you from your competitors (what do you know that they don't)? Why not use your name and then add "School Planning Consultant" as a tagline (for example)?

Before we start throwing out name/tagline suggestions, we should really have more information:

    1. First, who is your primary target audience? Where? How/when do they make a decision regarding consultants like you? What are the most important criteria for selecting a consultant?

    2. What benefit should your clients expect? Why should they hire you?

    3. How will they find out about your availability? What are they doing now for this kind of support?

    4. What is it you want to communicate to your target audience in the name/tagline?

Let's start by getting the answers to these questions before we start in on names/taglines. The answers to these questions will guide your marketing and business plans beyond just naming.
