Hi I Need A Tagline For

Posted by g_mass20 on 250 Points
Hi am in the process of creating an online store for my clothing business and I need a tagline.

The business is called: "Turquoise House of Style",but the url is www.trqafric.com .

At Turquoise we produces and sell modern African apparels. More than a clothing company, at Turquoise we teach life skills to vulnerable young girls in our communities, so with every purchase you will be helping to invest in just another girl.

any help at all will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
Edith

    So a few questions:

Who is your primary target audience? Where? How do they decide where to purchase apparel? Do they currently purchase online from new companies? How are they going to learn you exist?

What do you want the tagline to communicate? The teaching of life skills to vulnerable young girls is a noble thing to do, but it's probably not going to be sufficient to motivate a purchase.

And what does "turquoise" have to do with your business? Is it supposed to communicate something important to your target audience?

    Thanks Mgoodman,

The online shop seek to speak to audience, within and outside Liberia, Primary customers are middle and high income earners that appreciate African apparel or might want to try it for an occasion.

How are they going to learn we exist?
Social media has been our consideration, but I guess we need to focus more attentions on that.

What do you want the tagline to communicate? And what does "turquoise" have to do with your business?
I am looking forward to communicating a tagline; that tell how brilliantly beautiful our African prints are and that the brightness of their color symbolizes happiness, and will also increase a person’s self-confidence as they step out.

I am seeing a mis-match between your target audience and your suggested tagline. Middle to high income earners probably are not seeking an increase in self-confidence. It may be better to focus your tagline toward style and fashion, along with the happiness concept.

Think about the Benefits you are providing to your target audience. That is what your audience wants to hear. They will decide to buy based on emotion...and then they can justify the decision logically by the good work your company is doing.

You would picture and write about the important topic of HOW you do all this on your "About our company" page.

"Within and outside Liberia" covers a lot of territory. You might be better served by narrowing your focus somewhat. Try to define a market small enough that you could conceivably capture 100%.
