Please Help! In Search Of A Tagline

Posted by cloudadams on 250 Points
Hey there - please help!

We are Paper Planes, an online business & lifestyle management company offering our services to global entrepreneurs and expats. We are based in the Netherlands, but have clients all over the world.

We are in dire need of a tagline as all of our creativity seems to have flown out of the window.

Our logo will be high end, eye catching, but simple and elegant, to stand the test of time.

So far we have "Paper Planes - manage more with less" but we are still not too sure about it.

Your amazing creativity and ideas would be most appreciated.

Many thanks

Let's start with your mission: What important benefit do you deliver for your clients? Why might they want whatever you are selling?

Then the name: What does Paper Planes have to do with business and lifestyle management? What IS lifestyle management, and how does it integrate with business management?

Then the logo: What is the logo supposed to communicate? How do you plan to visualize "high end, eye catching, but simple and elegant, to stand the test of time?"

And then: "Manage more with less" sounds like a slogan for staff reduction.

What are you trying to communicate? Or is this just trying to sound important when you don't have a real benefit to offer?

Help us understand the substantive issue, and we'll come up with a great tagline for you.

    Thanks for your response.

If I did not think our company would not offer our customers a benefit by hiring us, I would not have started it. So no, we are not trying to sound important without offering benefits.

We are based in The Hague, The Netherlands where a multitude of expats live due to the International War Crimes Tribunals, Europol, Interpol, global companies such as Shell and a large amount of embassies all based in a small concentrated area. The benefits that we offer expats; are ongoing consultations before moving to a new host country, narrowing down accommodation and school availability. Should the clients be in country, for a pre visit, we show them around a choice of areas where they could settle, obviously dependent on school/work/child care locations. We help set up all administrative needs, such as electricity, garbage, tax accounts. We obviously offer translation from Dutch into English, French & Arabic, and other languages as and when needed. We help them register with a Dr.; arrange medical insurance (which is mandatory), and any other needs they may have; such as showing them where their local supermarket, pharmacy and post office is, including where to buy a bike! This is the lifestyle management part.

Since we are able to offer expats these services, we also realised that a number of expat entrepreneurs were setting up businesses here, who also need help with administrative services, finding retail spaces should they need them. We are also offering executive assistant support, business and office management support too. We've been able to set up a business abroad, so we have the experience of what future expat entrepreneurs could face. Event management in country and overseas has also taken place.

The name was chosen, as it was a play on the idea that we (my clients included) are pretty nomadic and spend a number of weeks each month travelling and working in different countries. To us it meant movement, moving forward, and we just liked the sound of it - it passed the smile or scratch test.

We have an idea for the logo which is being worked on at the moment, so we cannot publish as yet. But rest assured we are not going with an origami paper plane, which is cute but used often and wouldn't fit our client base.

Many thanks again, am looking forward to seeing your insightful ideas.
