Posted by dhruvlogins on 125 Points
I have a company named SOULutions (LLC). I work with consultations, trainings, seminars based on eastern philosophy. Astrology, sprituality, meditation and psychology are the tools I use. Recently i have registerd a website with the same name...i tried to use SOULutions, solutions for the soul. but it looks very generic and dosen't make clear exactly what i do....any tagline ideas? Highly appreciated.

The name and tagline, taken together, should communicate the BENEFIT your target audience can expect when they hire/work with you. Who exactly IS your target audience? Where? And what compelling benefit do you offer them? Why should THEY care what YOU do?

Once we have good answers to these questions we can work on a positioning statement that will lead to a great tagline.

    Thanks 'mgoodman'...

Target Audience: My usual clients are the people who are believers in some higher power and destiny. Most of them are connected with some kind of holistic lifestyle, meditation, spiritual path or esoteric. And even my target audience is people who share similar belief system and are looking for guidance.

What compelling benefit do i offer them: Unlike the traditional astrology consultation, where people are told about their destiny and how they are subject of some fix destiny or how they are victims of karma, my consultation, seminars and trainings focus on - the inner resources one is born with, taking a stock of natural strengths and weaknesses, identifying what are their true needs, finding ways to bypass their natural limitations, identify the personal seasons of their life and act in harmony with the season. People usually consult me when they are in some dilemma and are not sure about the course of action they should take. They usually come to my seminars when they want to learn new tools to create balance and harmony in their life.

Where do my clients come from: Geographically, majority of my clients are in Europe and Russia, some in India, US. As for their background, i have clients from all walks of life - doctors, lawyers, beauticians, businessmen....but there are certain common denominators like, either they have tried to solve a challenge for long and have not been successful so are looking for a new approach or they are already believers of the higher power.

I've tried to be comprehensive, but if any other information is required, i will be more than ready.

Thanks in advance for anyone and everyone who suggests or even attempts.

Why not "Go Beyond Your Limitations" or "Balance & Harmonize Your Life"?

    Thanks Jay, appreciate your suggestion.

But the reason i joined this forum in the first place is that i was really impressed by one comment here to some other question that i stumbled upon earlier.

Transformation is very difficult to sell. It's an abstract and very subjective thing, and most people don't recognize the need (if they have it), or they don't describe the need in their own minds as "transformation."

So your real problem is describing what you do in terms that will resonate with your target audience. You need to tell them a story that they'll identify with, that will let them imagine how their lives will be different/better after you work your magic.

We've worked in this area before (and have an active project now), and it's very difficult. Your best bet might be to get a few "success stories" or testimonials. Let satisfied customers tell your story in their own words, from their own perspectives.

People just don't go around thinking, "I could sure use some transformation." They do that with toothpaste or snack food or detergent, but not with spiritual counseling.

Sorry that there's no easy answer. Your problem isn't a title or a tagline. It's a meaningful and compelling positioning promise -- that describes the benefit that your target audience will find attractive."

And seriously, that is very true...and began looking for something more concrete. LIke something that exactly explains what my clients are getting from the work.

Once again, thanks Jay, you've rolled the ball, i hope it'll eventually lead to something that clicks.
