Name For Leadership Development For Women Business

Posted by judi on 250 Points
I provide leadership development programs for women, focused on turning emotion into emotional intelligence. I help women gain the confidence to speak up, address issues, and successfully handle the demands of leadership.

Currently my business is called Wyse Leaders but I've been told this name does not appeal to the women who are likely to be my target group.

I would appreciate your suggestions, Judi

Who told you that? What are their credentials? On what does he/she/they base their opinion?

It's not that I'm defending Wyse Leaders, but you already have some equity in the name, so I wouldn't cast it off just because someone thinks it's not a good name.

Who IS your primary target audience? What are their needs, values, habits and practices when it comes to leadership? I realize that Wyse doesn't mean anything, but it suggests "wise" which sounds the same and has a definition that seems to fit with what you're teaching.

It's been my experience that the positioning promise you make to prospective clients is more important than the name. If you really deliver an important and unique benefit (as perceived by your target audience), you can probably stay with the "Wyse Leaders" name. Better to direct your efforts toward a compelling (and superior) offering than a new name.
