New Company Name With Tagline(s)

Posted by rob on 250 Points
Hi All,

I run a recruitment company based in Kent in the UK.

I originally set my company up with an acronym.

So my name is APOS Recruitment (Accountancy, Payroll & Office Support)

However, I ahve since been asked to and subsequently place for other industries including Drivers, Warehouse/Manual staff, IT Support, Education and Healthcare to name a few.

Those jobs came through referrals from current clients with APOS. The problem I have is that when I meet possible new clients all of my literature is branded as APOS. So they don't see anything associated with the industries mentioned above and thus don't believe I can find them the correct staff.

I would like to keep the Accountancy, Payroll and Office Support staff element but also be able to cover other industries.

For that reason I am looking for a new company name and tagline. I have done some research and been one bit of advice I was given was to try and tie the company name in to something that can work easier with SEO. Like having the word recruit in the company name. I don't know if that is true or not?

Anyway, can anyone suggest a new company name and tagline(s) please?

Any help greatly appreciated.
Rob

Instead of trying to itemize what you do, how about identifying the unique and compelling BENEFIT your clients can expect when they deal with you? How are you different from, and better than, other recruiters in your area? Why do your clients say they keep coming back to you? (Use THEIR words, if possible.)

There are many, many industries. If you try to pick some out to put into your name, that implies those are your specialties. Unless you actually do have a small number of specialties, you probably shouldn't use that type of name.
What is common (shared) among the many areas you want to serve? What do you do well?

    Hi Guys,
Many thanks for the replies, it's appreciated.
So the benefits are dealing with a small company rather than a large organisation.
This means I care about all of my clients as they are all vital to me and give them attention to detail. I go in as a low cost recruitment agency to try and undercut some of the opposition.

Another USP is that I am a qualified Accountant that has previously worked in the Recruitment industry among others, listed below.

I believe what's common is that I am a people person and enjoy talking to all walks of life.
The areas I would like to focus on would be:
    - Finance
    - Education
    - Transport and Logistics
    - Sales and Marketing
    - Hospitality and Catering

As mentioned above I am a qualified Chartered Accountant and I used to work in the above industries as either a Finance Manager of Financial Controller.

    Thanks again

APOSitivity or APOSitivitus something to that effect. Discourage using Apositive because the true spelling is Appositive and you don't want to be perceived as misspellers. Note that:

Definition of appostive (related to appositional) = the act of placing together or bringing into proximity; juxtaposition

Definition of apposite = suitable; well-adapted; pertinent; relevant; apt

I am looking to keep the APOS part since people know you as APOS, and then tweaked actual words into a new name to help with your SEO (smart move, you).

Good luck growing your business; sounds like you're well on your way and to be honest the name change will be a minor step in the efforts you and your customer referrals are already doing.

A POS sounds like a blood type.
