New Name/branding For Corporate Training Dept

Posted by jamesj on 250 Points
I manage a corporate training department that is currently known as the Knowledge Transfer Center. The name is long and doesn't resonate with users very well. I believe we need a more simple application.

We are a technology distribution company, and my team is not only responsible for "training" (which I think denotes that we are pushing information to users), we are interested in not only classroom training, but also self-serve training from our learners. We are working to provide tools for on-demand educational experiences (online learning, online FAQ discussion boards, online access to documents and manuals).

Would love thoughts on a new name for the team that conveys this, in a simpler form.

Think about what your "customers" want and need from you. How do you help them do their jobs better, make more money, please their management? The name should allude to THAT -- not to what you [think you] actually do. Communicate the BENEFIT for the target audience.

Some thoughts: discovery, support, your back-office guru, mentor, secret resource, we make you look even smarter, etc.
