Real World Strategy

I have been asked to develop a web strategy to drive real customers in to a local brick and mortar retail business. if this strategy is successful I will then have the opportunity to create an industry specific process that I can then market to other retailers as a value added service.

I am looking for someone with experience developing such a strategy to help me develop an effective strategy and follow it through to a proof of concept.

I will pay a reasonable amount for design help but I am more interested in developing a long term relationship with a professional marketer that can help be refine and develop the concept over time.

    Coupons are generally effective as a way to get people in a door.

    Similar to coupons are the daily deal sites, like Groupon, Living Social, etc. Same basic idea - the customer gets a discount.
