I just finished a speaking gig in Paris for Garnier Fructis. My presentation was all about the role of color in branding....

Garnier uses a highly differentiated color (pms 375c) for the Fructis product line to stand out from the competition. And it really does stand out. The next time you are in you local CVS or Walgreens or Duane Reade or Boots (or whatever you call your local drugstore), walk down the hair care aisle and see for yourself. Color plays a powerful role in helping us recognize our favorite products; it also expresses key brand attributes; in this case: fresh, natural, calming, etc.
Are you using color consistently to build your brand?
Interestingly, I got this speaking gig from the article I wrote for MarketingProfs, True Colors. A quick Web search on color and branding produced Google results with a link to that article, yielding me this great speaking opportunity. So not only are colors powerful branding tools, articles about color can be powerful personal branding tools as well!
