If you want to measure the impact of social-media campaigns on your brand reputation, try a free tool called Trendrr, Warren Katz suggests. "I haven't been using it long," he says at the CMG Partners Perspectives blog, "but so far I've found it incredibly useful for gauging the play [that] certain terms, brands, companies, and people are having on the web."
According to the Trendrr website, its service can be used to:
- Track the popularity and awareness of trends across a variety of inputs, ranging from social networks to blog buzz and video views and downloads, all in real time.
- Compare trends with one another, monitoring and evaluating their status across a variety of sources.
- Discover trends that other users are already aware of and tracking.
"The best part," notes Katz, "is you can create your own data sets which will be captured and synthesized for you. This is particularly useful if the term(s) you're searching for are too obscure or not mainstream enough for Google trends."
The Po!nt: The next time you wonder whether a social-media campaign is as buzzworthy as you hoped it would be, use a tool like Trendrr to discover the answer.
