I recently had the opportunity to interview Daniel H. Pink for MarketingProfs readers. Best-selling author of A Whole New Mind: Why Right-Brainers Will Rule the Future and Drive: The Surprising Truth About What Motivates Us, Daniel was a keynote speaker at the recent PPAI Expo in Las Vegas. The trade show is the largest in the promotional products industry with more than 18,000 industry distributors in attendance. Because I happened to be a speaker there, too, and hubby/biz partner, Allen, manages the promo products side of our company, I used my own "drive" and introduced myself backstage.
What I wanted to know was how Daniel thought the six abilities he mentions in A Whole New Mind would affect marketers today in light of new media. If you haven't read his book, don't worry. He explains it all in the video clip. However, the book is worth reading as marketers.
I love what he says about organization change---how "one smart, strategic person" can do something "semi-subversive" to make big changes.
What do you think of his comments?
