Yesterday was the MarketingProfs virtual seminar, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Metaverse: A Marketer's Tour of Second Life.  Fellow Digitasian John Young and I, with help from MProfs maven Ann Handley, led more than 200 marketers on a wild whirl through the metaverse.... 


We focused on three key areas: well-trafficked ingidenous Second Life sims (in other words, the places where avatars really hang out), corporate marketing sims and, for contrast, some resident-run businesses that have carved out strong positions in the burgeoning SL economy.  If you missed the seminar, here are some screen grabs of the places we visited:
