Most (58%) employees say they are apprehensive about requesting a pay raise, according to a survey of 1,000 workers in the United States conducted by B2B Reviews.
Employees say they are hesitant to ask for a raise for a number of reasons, including because they are unsure how to approach the request (32% cite as a worry) and because they fear rejection (28%).
