Word-of-mouth is the top way that marketers hear about new marketing agencies, according to recent research from RSW/US.

The report was based on data from a survey conducted in November and December, 2024, among senior-level marketers and marketing agency executives.

Respondents say ways they most often hear about marketing agencies that they're unfamiliar with are via friends/coworkers (59% cite) and networking (56%).

 

 

Some 52% of respondents say they tend to rely on consultants to find marketing agencies, and 48% say they tend to run searches on their own.

Some 62% of respondents say their current agency partners are ahead of the curve in relation to new trends and tech.
