Some 99% of businesses plan to make some changes to their martech stack in the next 12 months, according to recent research from Acxiom.

The report was based on data from a survey of 200 decision-makers in the United Kingdom and the United States who have responsibility for martech within their organizations.

Some 35% of respondents say they plan to replace some existing martech solutions with new tools in the next 12 months, 29% say they are actively seeking additional new tools, 17% say they are looking to migrate to a single source/vendor stack, 15% say they are looking to consolidate tools, and 3% say they are looking to move to a composable solution from a combination of vendors.

Most respondents (62%) expect their firm's martech budget to increase by up to 10% over the next 12 months.

Respondents say their top reasons for making martech stack changes are to support new marketing channels (40% cite that as a motivation), improve overall marketing performance (39%), and improve customer experience (37%).
