Creative professionals say the biggest challenge they face with repurposing content is adapting pieces properly for various platforms, according to recent research from Canto and Ascend2.

The report was based on data from a survey conducted in October 2024 among 423 professionals in the UK and US who are involved in their organization’s content and creative asset production, management, distribution, or strategy.

Respondents say the top challenges they face with content repurposing are adapting pieces for various platforms (38% cite that as a major challenge), maintaining brand consistency (36%), lacking time/resources (36%), and finding the right assets quickly (35%).

Respondents say the top challenges they face with trying to access relevant assets in their content library are a disorganized file structure (34% cite it as a major challenge), content stored in different locations (33%), and a lack of version control (33%).

Respondents say the top challenges they face with measuring digital content performance are limited resources (36% cite it as a major challenges), inconsistent metrics across platforms (36%), and a lack of collaboration across teams/functions (34%).
