Some 91% of buyers say they've encountered at least one issue that's prevented them from placing an order online with a B2B vendor, according to recent research from Sana.

The report was based on data from a survey of 1,000 B2B buyers who work for manufacturers, retailers, wholesalers, and distributors in Australia, Germany, Mexico, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Respondents say the biggest hurdles they face with online ordering are all related to accuracy—specifically, a lack of accurate information about delivery times, pricing, and stock levels.

Buyers say the key data/tools they want B2B vendor sites to have are accurate information about things like pricing, easy access to information about things like their order status, the full product/service catalog available online, and a useful search function.

Buyers say the most important personalized pieces of information they need from B2B suppliers when ordering online are their agreed-upon prices, payment rules, and logistical rules.
