Content professionals at businesses say the biggest challenges they face are keeping up with the demand for content and allocating enough budget for content, according to recent research from Canto and Ascend2.

The report was based on data from a survey conducted in October 2023 among 375 professionals in the United States and the United Kingdom who are involved in the production, management, distribution, or strategy for content at their organization.

Some 51% of respondents cite keeping up with content demands for various channels as one of their top challenges, and 43% cite allocating adequate budget or resources.

Some 74% of respondents expect content volume to increase in 2024; 72% expect content production budgets to increase.

Some 35% of respondents say their organization is already using AI technology to create content.
