Men More Active Than Women
In Corporate America, men are roughly 19% more active than women on social networking sites—receiving a NPSI score of 104.5 compared with 84.9 for women.
*Penetration scores are based on the NetProspex Social Index (NPSI) calculated across nine major social networks. Scores are based on the average number of friends or connections across the social networks ("friendliness"). In measuring Twitter activity, scores are based on the average number of tweets, the number of users the employee is following, and the number of followers per employee.
About the data: The study was conducted jointly with Rapleaf, and results are based on analysis of social media activity of over 100,000 NetProspex database contacts from among the nation's largest companies.
