How to Calculate Your Forum Attendance ROI

Since MarketingProfs is a virtual company, I tend to spend more time communicating with you in emails like this, or in one-to-one emails, or (sometimes) over the phone, than I do communicating in person. So the cool thing for me about a MarketingProfs event is meeting face-to-face all of those who are part of the MarketingProfs community –- you, our members, but also MarketingProfs writers, advertisers, partners and colleagues.

At the same time, I recognize that such big-group-hug stuff only goes so far. For most of you, it comes down to something decidedly less.. well, squishy. In truth, it comes down to numbers: Even in the flushest of times, it's a challenge to justify professional development costs like attending a conference or seminar.

Fear not: Enter this handy little Forum ROI Worksheet, which helps you estimate your ROI for attending the MarketingProfs Business-to-Business Forum 2008 (which takes place in Boston, June 9-10). Use this form and plug in your own numbers to help you quantify the benefits of Forum attendance in terms of driving sales for the coming year.

Hope to see you there!

p.s. MarketingProfs contributor Paul Dunay is compiling research on how B2B companies can best manage their online reputations in a changing social media world. Whether you plan on being in Boston or not, please take a moment to add your two cents to Paul Dunay's Reputation Management for New Media survey: Take the survey here. Thanks in advance!
