The people have spoken: Streaming is here to stay. An impressive 93% of people say they plan to keep or increase their video streaming services, whereas 91% of paid audio streaming customers say as much. But media consumers are more and more overwhelmed by too many platform choices, and they can no longer easily navigate the options to find what they want. As a marketer, how do you know where to reach them? Get data and insights from Nielsen's State of Play. Among the findings: despite cutting the cord from traditional cable, people still want the convenience of bundling; the TV set is a media mainstay, commanding a monthly reach of 96%; and live TV still has a reach of 90% per month—time spent with live TV is 2X that spent with connected devices.
